Wolfgang Ward Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cotner Funeral Home on Sep. 30, 2025.
"We can complain because rose bushes have thorns, or rejoice because thorns have roses."

- Alphonse Karr

Wolfgang (Wolfie) Thorne Ward went peacefully into the arms of Jesus while being held on his mother's chest on September 28, 2025. Wolfie was born April 10th, 2025 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He spent 173 days at Nationwide Children's Hospital fighting hard to stay by his mommy & daddy's side. (His daddy gave him 173 kisses for every day of his fight on his last day.) Never was there a moment he didn't impress everyone with his bravery and strength.

He loved snuggles with his mommy & daddy, loved watching his stars, movies on his iPad (The Lion King was his favorite), and hearing his brothers and sister talk to him. He really loved head rubs, mommy's lotion massages and of course all of the neck roll kisses. He was also known for his famous side-eye, and always hiding away his sweet brown eyes when the camera came out.

He was surrounded by love every single moment of his life. From the day he was born, to his very last breath on Earth, he was swarmed with love.

Wolfie brought a type of love unlike any other. Hope, light, pure, good love. Our hearts will forever ache, but are filled with memories and love.

Wolfie will be forever missed and loved by his parents, Zachary Ryan and Savannah Denise Ward; his sister, Kairi Aleea June Baker and his five brothers, Jack James Ryan Ward, Noah Zachary Ward, Cash Russell Todd Alan Ward, Walker Jude Ward and Porter Hyde Ward; Grandparents, Cheryl Cullop (Michael Csontos), Todd and Drema Ward, Alex Longoria; Great-grandparents, Jack Ward, Hilda Aragon Bernal-Eden (John), Oscar Longoria (Mary); Aunts and Uncles, McKayla Shonborn (Hunter), Harrison James Cullop, Sharon Tolliver (Jeremy), Todd Ward III (Melissa), Chase Ward and many cousins, family and friends.

Wolfie was proceeded in death by his great-grandparents, James Russell and Judith Ann Cullop, Kathleen and Emmett Johnson, Roger Staten and Sharon Ward.

All are welcome to join the family for a candle lighting at Quarry Trails Park, Saturday, October 4, 2025 at 6:30 pm at Milliken Falls, 2158 Old Dublin Rd., Columbus, Ohio.
