His fight was fierce, his spirit unbreakable, and his love eternal. Though He is no longer with us, his strength continues to inspire us all.

It is with deep sadness and severely broken hearts that we announce the passing of Xavier (Chevo) Ramirez Pando (43), of Midland, Texas. Xavier passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026, after a hard-fought battle with esophageal cancer.

Xavier was born on April 16, 1982, in Midland, Texas to Raul and Nellie Pando. He brought joy, laughter and love to everyone he met. He shined as a bright light everywhere he went.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 25 years, Rachael Aguirre Ramirez, his sons Xavier Ramirez Jr. (Sasha Leyva), Xavian Ramirez and Xander Ramirez. His granddaughter Ariella Sophia Ramirez. His parents Raul and Nellie Pando, His father-in-law Jesus Urias, sister Kristy M. Pando (Luis F. Alcantara), and brother Raul Pando Jr. (Celene Hinojos). His sister in law Elizabeth Solis and brother in law Miguel Angel Aguirre (Paula Diaz), nephews Ramon Natividad Jr. (Misty), Roman Natividad (Dulce), Michael Aguirre, Sebastean Pando, Raul Pando III; his nieces Jessica Natividad, Izabella Ramirez, Annabelle Natividad, Stephanie G. Alcantara and Juliette Pando as well as Emily Vega (Julian), Briana Zermeno (Hector), Desirea Brito (Hiram) and Ruby Olivas, Deidra and Daniela including an abundance of loving Uncles, Aunts and Cousins as well as friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother-in-law Gloria Urias, maternal grandparents Antonio & Margie Ramirez, paternal grandparents Roberto & Maria Pando and his cousin Marcos Pando.

A public visitation will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 12-9pm with a Rosary at 7pm, and Sunday, February 7, 2026 from 9am-9pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.

Funeral Mass will be held Monday, February 9, 2026, at San Miguel Arcángel Catholic Church at 11am, 1100 Camp Street, Midland, TX 79701 with burial to follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens.
