Xmalyn J. Cummings

Xmalyn J. Cummings, of Keyser, WV, died Thursday, March 5, 2026 at UPMC Western Maryland in Cumberland, MD.

Born on December 25, 1955 in Hector's River, Portland, Jamaica, West Indies, Xmalyn was the third of eight children born to Hazel (Shaw) Campbell, who survives and the late Lloyd Campbell. She also was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents and her brother, Maurice Campbell.

Xmalyn migrated with her family to New York City in 1967. She then relocated to West Virginia in the 1980's where she spent most of her time preaching and teaching others about promises found in the Bible. That was her greatest joy - sharing the love of her heavenly father, Jehovah God. She took great comfort in the promise at John 5:28-29 which says that those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out. Also, she appreciated Psalm 37:29 which says the righteous will possess the earth and live forever on it. That was Xmalyn's hope and it gave great comfort to her family and friends. Xmayln's family wishes to thank you all for your love, care, support and prayers.

Xmalyn was well rounded and had many interests including cooking, baking and entertaining family and friends. She also enjoyed dancing, singing and having a good time. She loved singing songs by Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra, but most of all she enjoyed singing Kingdom Melodies and the Original Songs.

In addition to her mother, Xmalyn is survived by sisters, Darwin Tracy, Michele Hall and Ada Patterson; her brothers, Audley Campbell, Sr., Nyles Campbell and Sean Campbell and a host of 14 nieces and nephews and 18 grand nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 24400 McMullen Highway, SW, Rawlings, MD on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. with Stephen Jackson presiding. For those unable to attend the service, it will be available on Zoom (ID 891 1352 0266) PW Xmalyn.
