Dr. Yang Ge

Dr. Yang Ge, 62, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank.
Born in Shuyang, China to Xuegao Ge and Jinglan Yang, he immigrated to the United States in 1988, and settled in Morganville, NJ over 25 years ago.
Prior to his passing, he was a Software Engineer for MetLife.
Yang obtained his PhD in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University. He also holds a Master's in Computer Science from Purdue and a Master's in Mathematics from Nanjing University.
He lived his life with patience, dedication, and levity. Choosing to spend his days enjoying long walks in nature, building the family home piece by piece, playing cards, watching basketball, and cultivating a simple, meaningful life. He gifted this same energy to his family and friends, taking on many roles within the lives of his loved ones: a dependable guide, a reassuring figure, a patient math tutor, a knowledgeable conversationalist, and much more. He will be deeply missed for all these reasons.
Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Zhiying Yang; his son, Kevin Ge and his wife, Nan Du; his daughter, Louisa Ge; his parents, Xuegao Ge and Jinglan Yang; his brother, Wei Ge and his wife, Yun Sun; his sisters, Juan Ge and Xuan Ge and her husband, XingZhong Zhou, and his grandpets, Baby and Watson.
Family and friends may visit on Sunday, January 14, 2024, from 2:00 to 6:00 pm, at Waitt Funeral Home, 501 Highway 79, Morganville, where a service will begin at 4:00 pm. Cremation will be private.
