Remembering Yelena on the 20th anniversary of 9/11....

Hi my name is Rachel Oginsky and I'm a senior at Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC. The school set up boards with victims names and asked us to take one and pray for that persons family. I drew Yelena's name and found this message board. I want to let you know that I am praying for you. Remember that God is near and He loves you. Yelena got to pursue her dream when usually many immagrants did not even get across the border. It is a shame she didn't get to live the rest of her dream with the rest of her life.

I wanted to express my sadness over the death of yelena, I too lost a loved one that day, and I lived my early years in Mamaraoneck. I also have a russian background , so we have several things in common I hope your family is doing well with each passing day, and Yelena you are in my thoughts.

It does heart pain what has happened on 11 September 2001.

Memory Eternal. We all shall remember this terrible event. I am the first born in this country from the Ukraine. Both my parents came from there, obviously I lost my maiden name (Marchinsky). I do not know this family, but my heart goes out to them. I am an Orthodox Christian and will light a candle in memory of Yelena. May her memory be eternal.

After teaching Eugene, I can only say that Mrs. Belilovsky was an extraordinary woman. Her son is a delight - kind, gentle and a good friend. She left a wonderful tribute and legacy to the world.

social studies teacher on Sept 11,2001.I can't believe that 2 years has passed since that terrible day.Eugene was and is such a fine boy.

Even after his mother was among the missing at the Trade Center,he

never missed even one day of school.

He was an inspiration to all of us.

I did not personally know Elena, or any one from her close family but we share the same last name and writing this is the least i could do.



My married name is Tisnovsky and we live in Brooklyn, NY. Elena's brother, whose first name is almost identical to my husbands' first name, called us about 2 or 3 years ago to see if maybe we are related. Unfortunatelly, eventhough my husband's family comes from Belaya Tserkov, 80km from Kiev, the families are not related. Then, about 7 months ago we got a call from a research firm in Florida doing a documentary about victims of Sept 11th. The person on the phone extended his condolences about Elena, and I, nursing my newborn daughter Ilene, completely shoked and teriffied, told him that it is a mistake and we are all safe...

Yesterday, Sept 12th 2002 we saw Elena's brother on TV and i knew i had to express Elena's family our condolences.

G-D, i wish it was a mistake and all Tisnovsky were safe.

Yelena Belilovsky, my prayer go out to you family, husband and child. reast in piece. god reast your soal.

I wish Yelena's family to stay strong, you are not alone in remembering. Today is Sep 11, 2002, this day will never be forgotten as well as your wife, daughter, mother. God Bless her, and her family.

Congregation Emanu-El of Westchester joins with the many others in remembering the life of Helen Belilovsky on this the sixth month anniversary of 9/11.



Helen was a cherished member of this congregation and an indominable and inspiring influence in the life of her family.



We pray that the hopes and dreams she had for her family will remain a challenge to them. May the beauty of her spirit be a constant inspiration to them and may they find comfort in the memories of her life, as they move beyond this tragic event, firm in the faith that she is with them in spirit and love.

We are very sorry for your loss of Helen. May her determination, life and love live on in you. May the sorrow you feel be lightened by warm memories. Our hearts cry with you.

To those grieving for the loss of Yelena Belilovsky; especially Boris, Eugene, Ross, Leonid & Emma...

you may not know me, but please take comfort in knowing that my thoughts are with all of you. In a world of uncertainty only one thing is certain, that those people we care about most in life are always taken from us much too soon.

Helen & I were very good friends when I worked with her on the 93rd floor of Fred Alger Management. I will miss her dearly. I hope that her family are doing well in spite of the situation. I pray for her and all of the others from my company that are now gone but not forgotten.
