ONE'S SOUL STILL LIVES ON A HIGHER PLANE, BUT ONE'S LIGHT STILL REMAINS HERE ON EARTH.....PEACE AND COMFORT TO ONE......MANY MANY BLESSINGS

I have always admired Drs. Bonner and Sakharov for their fight for human rights in the USSR, despite their privileged backgrounds. In 1985, when Dr. Bonner was in Boston for heart surgery, I wrote to her in care of her daughter, Tatiana Yankelevich. I was thrilled to receive a personal response, which I treasure to this day.

I am only sorry that I learned of her death so belatedly.

The world would indeed be a better place if we had more people as fearless as Drs. Bonner and Sakharov.

God bless the soul of Yelena Bonner and her family.

The world would be a better place if there were more people like Yelena Bonner living in it. I'm sure she will be greatly missed, but her spirit will live on.

My son and I had the pleasure of learning of your mother and stepfather and all that your family has done for human rights for the Russian peoples when my son and his friend chose Andrei Sakharov as the subject of their History Day presentation 2 years ago. We were never able to speak directly to your mother, but the impact of her life's work has greatly enhanced our lives; we can only hope and pray to be that much of a blessing to others.
