ONE'S SOUL STILL LIVES ON A HIGHER PLANE, BUT ONE'S LIGHT STILL REMAINS HERE ON EARTH.....PEACE AND COMFORT TO ONE......MANY MANY BLESSINGS

I have always admired Drs. Bonner and Sakharov for their fight for human rights in the USSR, despite their privileged backgrounds. In 1985, when Dr. Bonner was in Boston for heart surgery, I wrote to her in care of her daughter, Tatiana Yankelevich. I was thrilled to receive a personal response, which I treasure to this day.
I am only sorry that I learned of her death so belatedly.
The world would indeed be a better place if we had more people as fearless as Drs. Bonner and Sakharov.
God bless the soul of Yelena Bonner and her family.

The world has lost a powerful voice for freedom and civil rights. May God grant you all peace knowing that Yelena was loved and respected by so many that only knew her through her voice and writings.

When I think of Yelena Bonner, the truth that comes to mind is that she had a 'life well lived'. To dedicate one's life to see evil overcome is the highest calling any human can have. The Civilized World will remember her efforts for many long years.

Tatiana--
My son and I had the pleasure of learning of your mother and stepfather and all that your family has done for human rights for the Russian peoples when my son and his friend chose Andrei Sakharov as the subject of their History Day presentation 2 years ago. We were never able to speak directly to your mother, but the impact of her life's work has greatly enhanced our lives; we can only hope and pray to be that much of a blessing to others. Our thoughts and prayers for comfort and peace are with you during this difficult time.

May the family of Yelena be comforted about a time when she will return to the days of her youth and enjoy life without the infirmities of old age - Job 33:25/Isaiah 33:24.

God bless her rest and let us not forget a WELL EARNED REST. What power and resolve to fight evils, especially during Stalin-led Russia!! She was and will remain a true inspiration to us all. Now she joins her long lost dad and her mum in heaven . Im sure her husband will be joyous to see her again.
Russia, you never had it so good as to be able to claim this noble lady as one of your own.
