Yolanda Thomas Mazon

After a 15 year battle with cancer that was fought until the end, we lost our beloved Mother, Yolanda Thomas Mazon, 77.

Yolanda Thomas Mazon was born June 6, 1948 and passed away on October 12, 2025, surrounded by family with continuous care and prayer. She worked alongside Dr. John E. Haworth, as his Medical Assistant, upon his retirement, she changed careers to Medical Billing at El Centro Regional Medical Center. Her hard work ethic would then see her transition to an Administrative position at Centinela State Prison, where she would finally retire.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jess R. Thomas, mother, Lupe M. Thomas, sister, Christina L. Thomas and nephew, Giovanni C. Thomas, ex-husbands, Jesse Monge, Johnny N. Macias and Gustavo H. Mazon, Jr.

Yolanda is survived by her Children: Daughter, Erica A. Macias (Stephen Kura), Son, Cannon K. Macias, Daughter, Alexa M. Farmer (Preston) and her beloved grandchildren who were the reason she fought so hard to survive to see them grow up, Delaine A. Radley, Preston Taylor Farmer and Scarlett "Boo" Farmer.

Yolanda is also survived by her sisters and brother Rosina Ortiz, Irene Liederbrand (Bill), Rachel Rosch, Gloria Balley (Harry), Rosie Thomas and Jess R. Thomas, Jr.; As well as numerous beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.

Services for Yolanda will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 153 E. Brighton Avenue, El Centro, CA at 10:00 a.m, officiated by Fr. Edward Horning. Interment will immediately follow at Evergreen Cemetery, 201 E. Gillette Rd, El Centro, CA.
