Yolanda Morales Valdez, 68, of Marion, passed away Friday, October 4, 2024 at Autumn Care of Marion.
She was born in Mexico on September 7, 1956 to the late Cecilio Morales and Sara Casas Morales.
Yolanda enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed knitting, gardening, and walking. She loved visiting her home country of Mexico. When her and her husband Fernando were young, she enjoyed dancing. She loved her rose bush and kept flowers all around her home.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Fernando Valdez.
She is survived by her husband, Fernando Valdez; three sons, Juan Luis Valdez, Manuel Valdez, and Rodrigo Valdez; eleven grandchildren, Cynthia Pena, Jacob King, Daniel Valdez, Jasmine Valdez, Alexis Smith, Sara Valdez, Fernando Valdez, Manuel Valdez, Jr., Julian Valdez, Olivia Valdez, and Xzayvier Valdez; four great-grandchildren, Damian Pena, Sophia King, Isabella Pena, and Franko Gonzalez; and seven siblings, Susana Galvan, Jose Antonio Morales, Augustin Morales, Marcelina Valdez, Abel Morales, Cleotilde Morales, and Agripina Morales.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Yolanda Morales Valdez, de 68 años, de Marion, falleció el viernes 4 de octubre de 2024 en Autumn Care de Marion.
Nació en México el 7 de septiembre de 1956, hija de los difuntos Cecilio Morales y Sara Casas Morales.
Yolanda disfrutó pasar tiempo con sus nietos y bisnietos. Cuando ella y su marido Fernando eran jóvenes, le gustaba bailar. Le gustaba tejer, hacer jardinería y caminar. Le encantaba visitar su país de origen, México. Ella amaba sus rosales y tenia flores por toda su casa.
Además de sus padres, fue precedida en la muerte por un hijo, Fernando Valdez.
Le sobreviven su esposo, Fernando Valdez; tres hijos, Juan Luis Valdez, Manuel Valdez y Rodrigo Valdez; once nietos, Cynthia Peña, Jacob King, Daniel Valdez, Jasmine Valdez, Alexis Smith, Sara Valdez, Fernando Valdez, Manuel Valdez, Jr., Julian Valdez, Olivia Valdez y Xzayvier Valdez; cuatro bisnietos, Damian Peña, Sophia King, Isabella Peña y Franko González; y siete hermanos, Susana Galvan, José Antonio Morales, Augustin Morales, Marcel Morales, Marcelina Valdez, Abel Morales, Abel Morales, Cleotilde Morales y Agripina Morales.
Una misa se celebrará el jueves 10 de octubre de 2024 a las 11:00 a.m. en la Iglesia Católica de Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles. La visita se llevará a cabo el jueves por la noche de 4:00 a 8:00 p.m. en Beam Funeral Home.
