Yong Yang Obituary

Yong was born on January 25, 1940, in Seoul, South Korea. While growing up in South Korea, he bravely served in the South Korean military. In 1976, he immigrated to the United States and eventually became an American citizen. Yong worked at General Motors, Willow Run Assembly, for 30 years.
Yong is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Soon Ae Yang; loving daughters, Edna, Amy, and Susan; dearest grandchildren, Kaia, Dakari, Mai, Thi, Tai, Yen, and Tam; and dear sister, Myong Miller.
The Yang family will welcome guests on Thursday, June 15th, from 11 am – 1 pm, at the Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home.
A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation hours.
Memorials may be directed to American Gateways to honor Yong's life.
