My name is Andreia Stephen, I'm from Brazil but I've been living in the US since 2005 in the city of Victorville, CA. I'm a student at Victor Valley College. We'll pay our respects to every life lost during that tragic and sad day. The students are writing the names of everyone who lost their life on 9/11 and will place those names along with a flag on the ground around the lake of our beautiful college. We've been doing that for a while, but I thought it would be nice for you to know that Ms. Wong will be forever remembered by all of us from Victor Valley College. It's an honor for me to be able to write her name on a card.

We don't know each other, but your name is my mother's name who passed away in 2011, just about 10 years after you did. I was searching for my mom's obituary recently, wanting to read it again, and saw yours. Where ever you are, Mr. Yuk Ping, may you find peace and happiness.

My community organized a remembrance for the brave heroes of September 11, 2001. In so doing, American flags were distributed to be placed in memory of each and every brave soul who perished on that day. After placing the flag, we were given the opportunity to view a piece of metal from the World Trade Center. We then received a Certificate of Commemoration with the name of an individual for whom we placed a flag. My certificate bore the name of "Yuk Ping Wong". I came right home and searched her name, which brought me here. Ms. Wong and her family will always hold a special place in my heart and her sacrifice will never be forgotten.

As another anniversary is nearing, you & others are not forgotten but remembered. You've touched on the lives of many in the earlier years in Chinatown & we will pass along your life stories and how you've made a difference in this world. God bless you & may we all discover the truth in global peace without hatred - colleagues from CMP: 1980's

I wanted to take a moment to say that your family is in my thoughts today. I had the honor of reading Winnie's name yesterday during the ceremony at Ground Zero and I wanted to get to know something about her. She was a remarkable woman, you must be very proud of her.
We still miss my father very much and share in your loss, especially at this time of year. I feel that my dad, in many ways, still lives through my sister and I, as Winnie must through her children. I hope that there is some comfort in those thoughts.

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
