Mrs. Yuriko Joslin

Yuriko “Lilly� Joslin passed away at home amongst family on Friday, November 5th, 2010, after a brief illness. She was born in Japan on February 26, 1933 and was a middle school student in Nagasaki when the bomb fell. Thankfully, she was not in the city that day. Ten years later, she married Captain John M. Joslin of the US Air Force, and moved with him to America, eventually settling in Atascadero in 1957. She was a devoted mother with a huge heart, and she raised a large family. The joys of her life were her sons, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and was famous for being able to make anything grow. She is survived by her sons, Leo (Gary) of San Francisco; Charlie (Susan) of Atascadero; Victor (Kaylene) of Lago Vista, Texas; Gus (Denise) of Fontana; Mark of Palmdale; and Bob (Leslie) of Templeton; grandchildren Charlie Jr (Rylee), Amanda, Tracy, Sean, Elizabeth, Tyler, John Cody, Hallie, Hannah, Jennie, Bobby, John Mark, and Brian; and great-grandchildren Alexis, Mazie, Madorie, and Kellen;daughters-in-law Julie and Sandy; along with scores of others who knew her as Grandma Lilly.
