Yvette A. Lourenco, 68, a resident of Providence for 47 years, passed away on November 15, 2025, at Rhode Island Hospital. She went home to Heaven surrounded by her family, great friends, and her two sons, wrapped in love and prayer as she entered the presence of the Lord.

Born in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Oswaldo and Marcina Lourenco. She was the youngest daughter of six siblings, including the late Marly and the late Donna.

Yvette's greatest joy in life was her family, especially her two sons, Matthew and Mark, whom she loved deeply and supported with all her heart. She is also survived by her former husband, Raymond Morris, with whom she shared many years of family and cherished memories. Her love extended to her sister-in-law Nancy, and to Brendan Devincent, who held a special place in her life along with Lisa and Christina her two favorite nieces.

She also leaves behind her cherished daughter-in-law Sandra; and in-laws, her beloved friends Maria, Jeana, Melynda, Candy, Tania, Andrea, Dominic, Carl, Laura, Ivan, Nico, Mark, Charissa, Brian, Sandy, Yvette, Debbie Richard, Cody, Ronnie, Joann, Gus, Lynne, Tony, and Brandon, along with her loving church family such as Brother George, Brother Donald, Charles and Paris who brought her joy, prayers, strength, and spiritual companionship just to mention a few. Also a special thanks to Pastor Jonathan.

Her living siblings-Steve and wife Patricia, Marcy, and Mary-along with her many beloved nieces and nephews, to name a few including Jason and wife Nicole, Christopher, Todd, Troy,Peter and Andrew will forever carry her memory in their hearts. She was also adored by her fur grandchildren, Veo, Dusty, and Dory, who brought her endless comfort and happiness.

Yvette had a bright, playful spirit and a love for games that brought people together. She especially enjoyed Spades, Mille Bornes, Kings in the Corner, and her all-time favorite, Bingo-which she loved running and calling out the numbers for with joyful enthusiasm. These games created some of her happiest memories with family and friends.

In addition to her work in the jewelry plating industry, Yvette also loved her job as a dietary aide, where she shared warmth, kindness, and a nurturing spirit with everyone she served. Her strong work ethic and loving nature made her cherished by colleagues in every workplace she touched.

A fervent Christian, Yvette's faith was at the center of everything she did. She lived according to her favorite saying: "Jesus is knocking on your heart, open the door." She embraced her salvation with joy, becoming a baptized, born-again Christian-a moment that profoundly shaped her spiritual journey. She loved sharing her faith and encouraging others to seek God's grace.

Yvette's passion for life shone through in her love of dancing and music, especially the band The Shangri-Las. "Leader of the Pack" was one of her longtime favorites, often filling her with energy, smiles, and the urge to tap her feet or sing along. Her early childhood years in Brazil-from six months to seven years old-gifted her with a rich cultural appreciation that she carried throughout her life.

Yvette will be remembered for her remarkable strength, joyful spirit, and unwavering faith. Her legacy and memory will continue with everyone who loved her, she will forever be a blessing.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 4:00-8:00 PM in the A. A. Mariani and Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence.

Funeral services will continue on Friday, November 21, at 9:30 AM from the A. A. Mariani and Son Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM in St. Mary's Church, Cranston St, Cranston. Burial will continue in the chapel of St. Ann Catholic Cemetery.
