Yvonne Gollatz Obituary
Before her retirement, Yvonne had a fulfilling career as an insurance office manager. Beyond her professional life, she was an enthusiastic gardener, finding joy in nurturing her plants. Her beloved African Grey bird, JoJo, was a constant companion who brought her endless happiness.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her two husbands, Richard Mahood and Joseph Gollatz; her daughter, Debbie Butler; and her grandson, Brandon Miller. Her memory will be cherished by her surviving family: daughters Ann Simpson (Leo), Barbara Garrett (Steve), and Linda Wimbs (Allen); grandchildren Diane Stevens, Michelle Hill, Jennifer Merenuk, Kiley Wood, Heather Butler, Richard Matthews, and Devin Matthews; as well as her great-grandchildren Aiden, Colton, Hannah, Brooklyn, Graham, Micah, Everleigh, Connor, Charlie, Kaison, and Chevelle.
A memorial service to celebrate Yvonne's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the funeral home chapel. The family will welcome friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations to be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Toccoa, GA. In accordance with her wishes, Yvonne was cremated.
