Yvonne Phillips Kinney, age 77, passed away on October 11, 2025 at her home. Yvonne was born on September 18, 1948, to the late Noah and Viola Compton Phillips. She was the wife of the late Louie R. Kinney. Yvonne was a retired Operating Room Tech from Pikeville Medical Center and a member of the Greasy Creek Freewill Baptist Church.
Along with her husband and parents Yvonne was preceded in death by three brothers, Johnny Phillips, Rexford Phillips, Tommy Phillips and one sister Phyllis Bolden.
Yvonne is survived by one daughter Tammy (Jeff) Hamilton, one son Noah Randall (Ben) Kinney, four sisters, Barbara Sue Damron, Iva Gean Bolden, Bonnie Clear, and Rosie Bowens, Yvonne was affectionally known as "Duck Duck" by her two grandchildren Corey (Jordan) Hamilton, Chelsea Hamilton, and her one great-grandchild, Conor Hamilton.
Visitation will be Tuesday October 14, 2025, beginning at 6:00 PM with church services beginning at 7:00 PM at Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday October 15, 2025, beginning at 1:00 PM at Lucas and Son Funeral Home with burial to follow at Annie E. Young Cemetery, Shelbiana, KY.
