Yvonne M. "Von" Pennifill

Yvonne "Von" M. Pennifill, 68, of Tullahoma, TN, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025. Born in Washington, D.C., on September 18, 1957, Von lived a full and vibrant life.
A proud graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree, Von built a rewarding career as a Senior Accounting Technician. Her dedication and attention to detail made her both respected and loved by those who had the privilege to work alongside her.
Outside of her professional life, Von found joy in the things that brought people together-shooting pool, playing softball, tending to her yard, and spending time outdoors. Her travels included backpacking in Europe, 6 years in the Marshall Islands and trips to Thailand and her favorite place, Vegas. While not born in Alabama, she became a huge Alabama (ROLL TIDE) fan.
Von shared her home and heart with her cherished cats, Marzo and Lennox. She was preceded in death by her father Benjamin Pennifill, nephew Jeremy Pennifill and her loving pets Little Girl, Herc, and Lexi.
She is survived by her mother, Millicent Mabis; her siblings Lynn Watts, Carol Lee, Robert Pennifill, Danita Gardner, and Wayne Mabis; her nephew Matthew Watts; nieces Lisa Hutzler (Tracy) and Becky Henry; and her great-nephew Jared Henry. Von's warmth, humor, and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no formal services. Her family and friends will celebrate her life in their own special ways.
