Yvonne Alexander Savoy was born on February 19, 1942 in St. Amant, Louisiana and passed away on December 15, 2024, at the age of 82. She was a member of the St. Amant High School Class of 1960, a life-long parishioner of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, a diehard Saints fan and her claim to fame, were delicious pralines. She enjoyed long car rides and seeing the changing of leaves. She loved riding her bike, with her husband trailing after her. She loved to dance, fish, a good movie and above all she loved to laugh. Yvonne loved doing these things with her husband and her family. Family was the most important thing in her life and in the end, the ones who loved her most were there to care for her, as she had done for them.
Yvonne is preceded in death by her parents, Murray and Lois Alexander and her godson, Tony Savoy.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Daniel Carlton Savoy, three children: Danny Savoy (Suzy), Valerie Belleu (Craig) and Mark Savoy; seven grandchildren: Bobbie Cockburn (Matthew), Pete Savoy, Jack Belleu, Cade Belleu, Murphy Savoy, Cooper Savoy and Corrie Savoy (Christian) and 5 great-grandchildren: Blayke, Jude, Leigh, Kasen and Scottie. She is also survived by her siblings: Carol Ann Sullivan, Murray J Alexander, Geraldine Duplechein (Ory) and Christine Guitrau (Don).
Visitation will be at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 44450 LA-429, St Amant, LA 70774, on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 from 9:00 am until Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 am. Burial to follow in Church Cemetery.
