Yvonne J. Wannop

Yvonne J. Wannop, 90, of Milford, beloved wife of the late George Wannop, passed away on February 13, 2026. Born on March 17, 1935 in Linlithgow, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Rachel MacGregor.

Yvonne was born in Scotland and moved to Canada at a young age. Later in life, she moved to Connecticut to be closer to her friends and husband's work.

Here in Connecticut, she worked for 30 years at BIC, where she found many lifelong friends and stayed in touch with them even after retirement. Yvonne was proud of her job and the work she had done, which showed in her colleagues' loyalty.

Outside of her career, Yvonne was an avid novel reader and enjoyed planting flowers in her backyard garden. Her companion, Nancy, and she would often drive around together, traveling to the beach to listen to the waves or to enjoy some ice cream.

Yvonne is survived by her son, Guy Wannop and her companion, Nancy Brennan. She is predeceased by her husband, George Wannop.

A graveside service will take place on Friday, March 20, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Kings Highway Cemetery, 271 Cherry Street, Milford.
