Zachariah David Simons Jr., beloved father, partner, son, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew, friend, and adventurer, passed away leaving behind a legacy of curiosity, compassion, and hands-on dedication to everything he touched.

Born on August 20, 1997, to Dama Shroll and Zachariah Simons Sr., Zach was a spirited child who never stopped exploring. From a young age, he challenged limits, questioned boundaries, and greeted life with boundless energy.

Raised in both Pocatello, Idaho, and the Ogden/Brigham City area of Utah, Zach’s determination carried him through school, and he proudly graduated from Weber high in Utah.

Zach met the love of his life and his person, Kenna Carpenter. Together, they began building a life filled with love, laughter, and deep connection, and welcomed their beautiful son, Ryder Justin Simons, into the world—the light of Zach’s life.

His first passion was discovered in the warmth of the kitchen, where he learned from his parents. Cooking wasn’t just a skill—it was a way he showed love. That passion led him to his first job at an assisted living facility, where he delighted in preparing meals for the elderly and staff alike.

Later, Zach found another calling: turning wrenches and breathing life into engines. Whether it was a motorcycle, a car, or a pickup truck—if it had a motor, Zach wanted to understand it. He poured his heart into learning and mastering his craft. His love for motorcycles also brought him into brotherhood and belonging as a Prospect in the Vagos Motorcycle Club, Bridger Chapter—a role he took great pride in.

Zach had a generous soul and a magnetic presence. He would stop whatever he was doing to help someone in need, always putting others before himself. Among the many special relationships in his life, Zach held a particularly treasured bond with Sawyer “Squishy” Jane Davis.

Zach is survived by his cherished son Ryder Justin, his partner and person Kenna Carpenter, his loving mother Dama Shroll, father Zachariah Simons Sr., and his brothers Jordan, Kane, Cameron, Cyle, Robert, and Morgan and his sister Alexis. He is also survived by his grandparents Gary and Patricia Kemp, Kregg and Katy Price, Dave and Gina Simons, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Zach was preceded in death by his cousin and close friend Allen Jeffrey “AJ” Carter, great-grandparents Kenas and Barbara Akers, Clair and Alice Price, and Buck and Margaret Simons, as well as his grandmother Teresa Marie Baker.

Zach’s life was filled with the kind of heart and fire that could never be taught—only admired. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those lucky enough to have known him.

Services will be held at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W Chubbuck Rd, Chubbuck, Idaho.
