Mr. Zachary "ZAC" Demarcus Liddell, 38, of 112 Spearman Dr.,
Pelzer, SC was born in Abbeville SC on August 5, 1987. Zachary completed his journey on Monday, December 8, 2025 in
Anderson, SC. He was the son of William M. and Kathleen Martin Liddell of Abbeville. Zachary was the proud father of Ja'Shun Lewis of Calhoun Falls SC.
Zac was a graduate of Calhoun Falls High School Class of 2005. Zac was lively, energetic, and well-respected by his peers, gaining the Senior Superlative of Most Outgoing. Zac played football lettering all four years and was an outstanding member of the 2004 football team that made it to the State Championship game. Through his consistent performance during the season, he gained the prestigious honor of being named an All-Region Linebacker.
After high school, Zac earned an Associate's Degree in Welding from Piedmont Technical College, he also received several additional certifications. In 2010, Zac began his career at Reeves Construction Company, beginning with Traffic Control. Taking pride in his job, Zac was eager and willing to learn. Zac's strong work ethic quickly advanced him from laborer to equipment operator, and eventually to Paving Crew Foreman. On December 8, 2025, Reeves Construction honored Zac for 15 years of dedication and commitment to excellence.
Zac lived a life grounded in loyalty and love, always placing family at the heart of everything he did. He was a dedicated father, son, brother, uncle, family member and friend. Zac took pride in helping taking care of his sister Kathy, as she was battling cancer. He especially cherished the time he spent with her when it was his turn to spend the week with her as she received out of state treatment.
From an early age, Zac was the true definition of a "country boy." Zac was an avid farmer, learning from his grandfather, "Jake T" and his brother "Sput". He enjoyed wearing cowboy boots as he was plowing, planting, and harvesting crop. He was a skilled hunter, killing trophy deer, wild boar, squirrel and anything else that dared to move in the country woods. He also enjoyed boating and fishing any chance he could.
Zac loved to ride his motorcycle. When he was not riding, he was often planning his next ride or sharing stories from a past adventure. Affectionately known as "Black" to the riding community, Zac built lifelong friendships and found joy in every mile he rode. He was a proud, faithful member of The Distinguished Gentlemen Club of Belton, SC. Zac is survived by his parents William M. and Kathleen Martin Liddell of Abbeville; one son Ja'Shun Lewis of Calhoun Falls SC; one brother Dictrick Liddell of Pelzer SC; three nieces Meosha Starks, K'Myia Bailey, and Olivia Waters; one nephew K'Davion Bailey; a special faithful longtime partner, Tekisha Gaines; a bonus son Jaiqarius "Toot" Bigby; a bonus daughter Nautica Janke; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Kathy Michelle Liddell Bailey, his maternal grandparents, Johnny and Carrie Lou Martin and paternal grandparents, John T. and Effie Mae Liddell. There is no doubt, that your last memory of Zac is a SMILE…… "THAT SMILE", that lit the room up every time he entered it!
