Zachary was my favorite college professor and I am deeply saddened to learn of his passing. He was inspirational and unique, he was really there to educate us. I took 2 different classes with Zachary and he inspired me. I remember when he would talk about his bmw 1000rr and passion for life and the world. I am grateful I got to know him and have my mind opened because of him and other students in his classes. May his family take comfort in knowing he made a positive impact in the world and is missed, like by his students who took his class in 2010...Rest In Peace Zachary- Love your student Ryan Michael Clancy -Rowan University 2009-2011

I have so many great memories of Zach he truly was one of a kind. We were pledge brothers at Eastern Illinois University in the Spring of 2000. We connected immediately, he had a way of doing that with so many people. Heaven gained another Angel. Until we meet again love you. My condolences to Vicki, Jimmy, Jay and to the rest of the family. This is one of the most difficult things that I have ever had to come to terms with. In Hoc

Other than being a phenomenal soccer player, he was a kind soul & huge heart & good man/friend. He loved his family & friends more than anything. I got the privilege of living down the street from him & his family for many years. He & his family is basically family to my family and I. The summer I stayed at their house during daytime was one of the best & funnest summers I ever had. He will be missed tremendously by everyone. See you again one day my friend.

We are so heartbroken to hear of Zach's passing. I was lucky to know him. I spent many many lunchtimes laughing at his jokes in school.. and watching him destroy on the soccer field next to ours. We reconnected during my entry into my PhD program, and he was so kind to help me navigate the application process. I will always remember his friendship.
I took this picture of him with our group of friends at a football game. We are sending our hopes for healing and peace to the entire Moore Family.

Zach was the most wonderful, amazing, and kind person I will ever know. Even in his pain, he gave joy to others. His thoughts, words, messages, and pictures show that not only was he humorous, fun-loving, and passionate but also profound and sensitive. Even though I knew Zach only for a short period of time, he made a huge and positive difference in my life. I can never forget him, and I am grateful to have known Zach!

I am so heartbroken to hear of Zach's passing, who was such a vibrant, intelligent, hilarious, passionate, and loyal friend that I have shared so many wonderful memories with. Zach and I worked together at National Geographic, and I was lucky enough to be able to recruit him onto my many soccer teams when we were living in Washington, DC. Once a Hooligan, always a Hooligan. Our adventures were many, our chats were long. We have lost a kind, and wonderful man this week. My deepest condolences to the many friends and family who are also touched by his passing. How lucky we were to know Zach, and have him be a part of our lives. Sending my love and support from New Zealand.

My heart hurts for your family. Zach was such an energetic young man and I loved being one of his many teachers who were blessed to have taught him.
