Zachary Lawrence Plemons, age 25, of
McDonough, Georgia, passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 1, 2026. He was born on February 27, 2001, in
Stockbridge, Georgia, the son of Richard "Rick" Scott Plemons and Bonny Maneol Baker.
Zac was the kind of young man whose presence made the world feel brighter. At just 25 years old, he carried himself with a quiet kindness and warmth that naturally drew people to him. A loving and sweet gentleman, Zac had the most beautiful smile and a wit that could brighten even the hardest of days. He was naturally funny, quick with a clever remark, and had a way of making those around him feel comfortable, valued, and cared for.
He graduated from Ola High School in 2019, where he was well known and well loved by his classmates and friends. His genuine spirit and easygoing nature made him a friend to many, and he was even crowned Prom King, a reflection of just how deeply he was appreciated by those around him.
Zac carried himself with respect and good manners, always saying "ma'am" and "sir," a small but meaningful reflection of the character that defined his life. Zac was currently employed with Beemac Trucking Company in Logistics.
He loved sports, especially cheering on the Atlanta Braves, and he found great joy out on the golf course. Whether playing a round with friends or simply enjoying time outside, he loved the sunshine and often enjoyed peaceful walks outdoors. Zac appreciated the simple moments in life that brought laughter with friends and time with family.
Zac met the love of his life, Anslie, eight years ago, at Ola High School and they were head over heels for each other from the moment they met. They were inseparable and were planning to start their marriage journey together on March 28th. They had a wonderful dog, Dandie, and two cats, Cricket ("Mr. Ricket") and Tink.
More than anything, Zac loved people. He loved his family deeply and treasured the friendships he built throughout his life. Zac was a peacemaker at heart, the kind of person who naturally looked out for others and tried to make things better for those around him. Selfless and caring, he always wanted to take care of everyone else before himself. Those who knew him will always remember the kindness he carried, the laughter he shared so freely, and the gentle light that seemed to follow him wherever he went.
He leaves behind his parents, Rick Plemons and Bonny Baker; step-parents, Melissa Plemons and Rob Baker; siblings, Ricky (Danielle) Plemons, Ali (Jesse) Greer, Sarah (Evan) Moore, Matthew (Samantha) Ivey, Tommy Ivey, Jade (Austin) Garnto; fiance, Anslie McRee; nieces and nephews, Jaxon, Kennedy, Baer, Aubrey, Ellis, Benji, Scottie Ann, Layla Belle, Johnny; grandparents, Terri Plemons, Carl (Carol) Maneol, Janine Lambert; aunts and uncles, Keith (Robin) Plemons, Jason (Riannon) Maneol, Jeremy (Juliana) Maneol, Becky (Jay) Whitten, Roman Lambert, Matthew Maneol, and Libby (Reed) Slay; his best friend, Ryan Elrod; as well as numerous cousins and friends who will miss him. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Kenneth Plemons, Edna Maneol, Mozelle Thomason; and an uncle, Joey Plemons.
