Zachery Dee Cleghorn, 57 of Kyle, Texas was called home by our heavenly father on October 17, 2021.
Zack grew up in Seguin, but the family relocated to New Braunfels in later years. He attended Texas State University in San Marcos and began working in the transportation industry where he spent the bulk of his professional career. He dedicated 20 years to transportation training, logistics and management for Texas State University shuttle system before moving on to other industries.
Zack was gregarious and would go out of his way to say ""hi"" or to offer help. It was hard not to get caught up in his enthusiasm. He valued his friends both old and new, but Zack often remarked that family was the most important thing to him. He enjoyed a wide variety of activities from camping and fishing to computers, museums and theater. He liked cooking, playing games and various sports, or just learning new things in general; no matter what it was, he cherished sharing those activities with his loved ones. In quiet times he took comfort in scripture, such as Romans 10:10 and Matthew 10:32 ""For with your heart you believe and are justified, and with your mouth you confess and are saved."" ""Whosoever confesses me before men, I will also confess him before my father in heaven.""
Zach is survived by his wife, Shannara, daughters Shelby, Courtney and Rory Cleghorn, son Michael McNeil, brother Wendel Cleghorn, nieces Meagan and Sarah Cleghorn, Lauren and husband Tyler Campbell, ""Mom and Dad"", Diane and Vern Noll, brothers-in-law Aaron, Ben and Daniel Noll, nephews Nathan, Hunter, Tanner and niece Gracie Noll. He is preceded in death by his father Monroe, mother Nancy and brother Henry Cleghorn, and both maternal and paternal grandparents.
There are no words to describe how much he will be missed.
