Zackery Wallace Jr. Obituary

Visit the Duncan Funeral Home - Livingston website to view the full obituary.

Zackery Jamar Ray Wallace Jr. was born on February 14, 1989, in Lufkin, Texas, to Zackery Wallace Sr. and Anna Wallace, who raised him with love, grit, and a strong work ethic. To family and friends, he was known by many names; ZJ, Zack, Batman, or by his club name, Man-Man; each tied to a piece of who he was.

From a young age, Zack had a gift for working with his hands and figuring things out. He attended Corrigan-Camden High School, where he played football and earned respect for his calm, dependable nature. After graduation, he studied at Lamar Institute of Technology in Beaumont, training as a lineman.

In time, Zack found both purpose and love, building a life rooted in family and dedication. He married the love of his life, Gemera, and together they built a home filled with love and strength. He was a devoted father, a steady voice for his son, Rowdale, always offering guidance and love, and finding one of his greatest joys in having his little shadow, Zya, by his side.

Zack built a career as a robotic technician at Amazon, combining his love for mechanics with his drive to learn. Whether working on cars, bikes, or complex systems, he had a way of making things work again.

Outside of work, Zack was all about his family, friends, and his bikes. Riding was his peace. Whether catching wind with his biker friends and family or his O’Men club brothers and sisters, He found joy in the road and the brotherhood that came with it.

He was a provider in every sense, a hardworking man who made sure his family was cared for and knew they were loved. He didn’t talk about it much, but his actions said it all. To his family, he was strength. To his friends, he was solid. To everyone who knew him, he was one of a kind.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Annie P. Cooper-Thomas, Bobby R. Wallace, and Verna L. Wallace- Fisher; great-grandparents, Annie B. Thomas, J.V. Thomas, Cornileus Yates-Prince, and Earl Hubbard. Each one was a guiding light in his life and is now a part of the light that guides him home.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Gemera Benefield-Wallace; children, Rowdale Wallace and Zya Wallace; his parents, Anna Wallace and Zackery Wallace Sr.; Brothers, Bobby Wallace, London Wallace (Johnnie); grandparents John W. Cooper and Savannah Taplin; aunts, Yolanda Wallace, Teresa M. Cooper, Wynee Marshall, Nicole Barnes, Kendall Russell; uncles, John M. Cooper (Shelain), Brian Cooper, Donnie Davison, Willie Dorsey; his cousins, who were more like brothers and sisters to him, Brandon Petty, Brian Cooper Jr, Brinesha Cooper, Chelvis Marshall, Derrick Petty Jr, Emmora Cooper, Fre’Derek Johnson, Johnneccia Agnew, Jonathan Marshall, Kanieceya Mays, Lea Cooper, Trey Wallace, Zion Cooper, Zoe Cooper; nephews, Braylen Wallace, Brycen Wallace, Ziaire Wallace, Zion Wallace; He is also survived by his biker friends, his O’Men club brothers and sisters, along with a host of extended family and friends who will forever carry his spirit in their hearts.
