Zamara M. Mejia Rodriguez, age 32, passed away on August 2, 2025, in Wilson, NC. She was a beautiful spirit, filled with laughter and full of life. Selfless towards everyone she met, she was always ready to lend out a hand or offer a listening ear. She found joy in many things, but especially in the countless hours she spent playing her favorite game, Marvel Rivals.
Zamara’s kindness wasn’t just something you noticed, it was something you felt deep inside. She had this incredible way of seeing the best in people, even when they couldn’t see it themselves. Being around her was like being wrapped in a warm hug; her laughter could light up the darkest moments and make you believe everything was going to be okay. She loved freely, laughed loudly, and made everyone feel like they truly mattered.
More than her love of gaming, Zamara was a person who needed real connection. She treasured every moment spent with family and friends, whether it was wild adventures filled with laughter or quiet times where she just listened. And she listened with her whole heart. When someone was hurting, she didn’t try to fix it with words. She just was there, and that was more healing than anything else. Losing her leaves a silence that’s hard to bear, but her spirit lives on in the love she gave to all of us.
Zamara is survived by her loving wife, Liliana Rangel; her mother, Estelia D. Jesus Rodriguez Tirado; her father, Pedro M. Mejia Delgado; her brother, Argenis X. Mejia Rodriguez; her aunts and uncle; Miroslava Rodriguez Tirado; Erendira Cervantes; Maribel Carranza; and Juan C. Valdez (tio nene) and cousins, Juan Carlos Liñan, Guillermo Cortez, Alejandro Cortez, Benjamin Cortez, Omyra Cervantes, Anthony Cervantes, Alexia Valdez, Aurora Valdez, and Victoria Valdez; and her fur baby, Jax. They will carry her memory in their hearts forever. Though her time here was far too short, her love, compassion, and spirit will continue to inspire those she left behind.
