Zbigniew Moskal

Zbigniew Moskal, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on December 5, 2025 in the presence of his loving family. Born on July 23, 1950, in Poland, he began his career as a dedicated and respected teacher, shaping the lives of countless students through his integrity, patience, and love of educating and mentoring. In 1984, guided by hope for a brighter future than was possible in then communist Poland, he brought his family to the United States.
They made their home in New Providence, New Jersey, where Zbigniew lived a life marked by perseverance and devotion. He worked for many years as a machinist at United Die Company in Kearny, NJ, dedicated to providing for those he loved. Beyond his hard work, Zbigniew brought joy and laughter to those around him. He delighted in making people smile, often using his booming voice to sing at family gathering. He expressed his love through cooking, preparing delicious meals that he eagerly shared with family and friends. His humor, warmth, spirited presence, and generosity at the table created memories of celebration and togetherness that will be cherished for generations.
Despite facing significant health challenges in his later years, Zbigniew remained engaged in the pursuits he loved. He took great pride in his annual tradition of winemaking, found comfort and joy in reading, and maintained a deep interest in the events shaping his homeland of Poland.
Zbigniew is survived by his devoted wife, Wanda Moskal; his son, Rafal Wojciech Moskal, and Rafal's wife, Carolina, along with their daughters Alexandra, Camilla, and Juliet; and his daughter, Agnieszka Moskal Gallagher, her husband, Patrick, and their son, James. He was predeceased by his parents, Jozef Moskal and Stefania (née Szocik), as well as his sisters, Hanna and Janina, and his brother, Eugeniusz.
Zbigniew will be remembered for his warmth, resilience, and steadfast work ethic, but above all for his unwavering dedication to his family. He especially cherished the time he spent with his children and grandchildren, always eager to hear about their lives, their joys, and their accomplishments. His legacy endures in the love he shared, the values he lived by, and the many lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the viewing on Wednesday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Bradley, Brough & Dangler Funeral Home, 299 Morris Avenue, Summit, NJ 07901. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Church, 111 South Street, New Providence, NJ 07974, followed by burial at St. Teresa's Cemetery, 136 Passaic Ave. Summit, NJ 07901.
