Zebulon "Zeb" C. Greer, 27, of Warsaw, Illinois, passed away Thursday, Sept. 5, 2024, near Fowler, Illinois.
Zeb was born Sept. 14, 1996, in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of Mark and Tammy (Plowman) Greer.
He graduated from Warsaw High School in 2015.
Zeb's passion for life was only matched by his love for playing the bass guitar. At the age of 10, he started playing and never stopped. Later, he brought joy and rhythm to the bands "Fate Revealed" and "Caught in the Crypt."
Zeb's guitar was a familiar sound with family, often playing for his nieces, nephews, and his beloved son Alaric. His infectious smile and warm personality meant he never met a stranger and always lit up any room he entered. Whether engaging in a game of catch, baseball, or video games, Zeb cherished being a big kid at heart with the younger ones. His spirit will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Zeb is survived by his parents, Mark and Tammy Greer of Warsaw; his son Alaric Greer; three siblings: Jackie (Travis) Conover of Keokuk, his brother Eric (Cindy) Greer of Niota, Illinois, and his sister Kara (Michael Moore) Lander of Keokuk; seven nieces and nephews: Krisama (Keaton Koltzenburg) Greer of Niota, Kadeeyn Greer of Niota, Drew and Piper Conover of Keokuk, and Harley, Aliva and Tristin Lander of Keokuk; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Zeb was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Bill and Eileen Greer, and maternal grandparents Garey Plowman and Georgia Covert.
Zeb's life will be celebrated and remembered with a visitation on Friday, Sept. 20 from 2-7 p.m., with family meeting friends from 4-7 p.m. at Printy Funeral Home in Warsaw.
