Zelda Jo Neher

Zelda Jo Neher, a devout Christian and cherished pillar of her community, was called to her eternal home on November 22, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on March 11, 1934, in Sterling, Colorado, Zelda's life was a testament to her unwavering faith.
Zelda's journey began as a bright-eyed girl in Sterling, Colorado, and she graduated from high school in Grand Junction. She later married the love of her life, R. Eugene Neher, in 1968, though her beloved husband preceded her in death in 2010.
Zelda is survived by her step-children, Graydon (Mayerle) Neher and Robin (Larry) Cann, who will forever cherish her memory and the wisdom she imparted. Her grandchildren, Morgan Neher and Emily Miller, will remember their grandmother as a beacon of light and a source of endless love and support.
Throughout her life, Zelda found joy and fellowship on the tennis courts, the golf greens, and the bocce ball lawns. Her competitive spirit was matched only by her sportsmanship and her ability to forge lasting friendships through these activities. Her laughter and cheerful demeanor were infectious, making every game a memorable occasion for all involved. Zelda's faith was the cornerstone of her existence.
As we bid farewell to Zelda Jo Neher, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a journey faithfully completed. She has left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew her, and her spirit will continue to inspire us all. Zelda's life was a testament to the enduring power of love and faith, and she will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have felt the warmth of her presence.
A funeral service for Zelda will be held at Fairmount Funeral Home on Thursday, 12/18, at 2:00 PM with a reception immediately following the service. She will be entombed in the Fairmount Mausoleum.
