Zella Hughes, 80 of Bald Knob, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on February 18, 2025. She was born on October 11, 1944, in Red Bay, Alabama to Odell and Azzie Bolton. She was a stay-at-home mom and a member of Old Time Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Gene Hughes of Bald Knob; daughters, Michelle (Chris) Smith of Fayetteville and Angela (Tommy) Hyde of Augusta; grandson Austin Hyde; brother Leedale Bolton; step grandchildren, Cody Smith and Crystal (Josh) Thacker of Fayetteville; step grandson J. T. Hyde of Conway; step great grandchildren, Thomas and Colton Thacker; granddaughter Krysten (Nathan) Bass of Trenton, Tennessee; granddaughter, Tara (Davidi) Deyo; great grandchildren, Cali Deyo and Christian Deyo, all of Conway; and Bentleigh Bass of Trenton, Tennessee.
Zella was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael Hopkins; grandson Jeremy Wayne Funderburk, Jr; sisters, Nellie Booth and Lorie Cotton and her brother, Buster Bolton.
Visitation is Friday, February 21st from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Smith Westbrook Funeral Home Chapel, 404 W Dewitt Henry, Beebe, Arkansas. The Funeral service will be Saturday morning, February 22nd at 10:00 a.m. also at Smith Westbrook; Burial to follow at Shady Grove Cemetery, Bald Knob.
