Zena Elvia Lilly, 86, of Broadway Road, Pipestem, died Monday, April 11, 2011 at her residence. Born December 31, 1924 at True, she was the daughter of the late Shelton Trail & Vevvy Lane Trail Duncan. Mrs. Lilly was a graduate of Hinton High School, received her degree in education from Concord College and a Master’s Degree from John Hopkins University. For more than 20 years, she taught school at North Glen School in Baltimore, Maryland. She was a member of Cooks Chapel Baptist Church at Pipestem. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five siblings; Helen Bragg, Ina Holland, Ora Holbert, Clifton Trail & Ardith Meadows. Those left to cherish her memory, her devoted husband of 62 years, Charles Allen Lilly Three children Reva Bounan & husband Michael of Baltimore MD Shirley Huber of Pipestem Charles Allen Lilly Jr. & wife Mary of Baltimore MD Five grandchildren Gwen Tiedeman & companion Andrew Zirm Gregory Tiedeman Nancy May & husband Robert Jeanie Lilly & companion William Boddice Elizabeth Dudley and husband Daniel Four great grandchildren, Samuel & Ryan May Alyssa & William Boddice One sister, Zelma Jarrard of Tenn. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 16, 2011 from Cooks Chapel Baptist Church at Pipestem with Pastor Dallas Peyton Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Lilly/Neely Cemetery at Pipestem. Friends may gather at the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton on Friday evening from 6 until 8 PM and one hour prior to services at the church.
