Zineta "Z" (Bogucanin) Shippee, 72, passed away peacefully March 17, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Maho & Maria Bogucanin. She and her family later moved to Brockton where she was raised and resided most of her life.
Zineta became the beloved mother of three children, Leeanne, Dianne and Michael, whom she adored and treasured deeply.
She had the most generous heart, forgiving nature and loving soul. She was always aiming to please and her beautiful smile would light up the spirit of others. Truly a lady with style and grace.
She is survived by her children, Leeanne Bender and her husband Kenneth of Cocoa FL, and Michael Shippee of Dorchester. Grandchildren, Alexis Burke, Hailey Shippee, Brooke Sartre, Jayden Mederios, great granddaughter Aurora Devlin, sister Fatima Lovell, brother-in-law Peter Peterson, nephew Peter Peterson, Jr. and wife Joanne, former husband William Shippee and wife Laura, former brother-in-law Mich Shippee and wife JoAnn, former sister-in-law Joyce Pinnetti, nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.
Zineta was preceded in death by her cherished daughter Dianne Shippee, sister Kimeta Peterson and niece Suzzanne Johnson.
Calling hours will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 1:00-3:00 PM followed by a funeral service in the Funeral Home at 3:00PM.
In lieu of flowers please consider giving a donation in Zineta's name to Adult & Teen Challenge New England, 1311 Main St., Brockton MA 02301 or charity of your choosing.
