Zona Virginia (Wallace) Sutton

Zona Virginia (Wallace) Sutton, 87, of Ash Flat, Arkansas, passed away on March 16, 2026, at Ash Flat, Arkansas. She was born on March 4, 1939, in Bethalto, Illinois, to William Franklin Wallace and Jewell Alberta (Spiller) Wallace.

Zona was married to John Scott Sutton Jr. on July 27, 1973 at Durant, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints in the Ash Flat branch in the West Plains stake. She loved life and was a homemaker and loved doing genealogy.

She is survived by five sons, Tommy Buchanan of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, Jerry Buchanan (Jolene) of Owasso, Oklahoma, Randy Sutton (Stacey) of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, John Scott Sutton III of Birmingham, Alabama, and Jimmy Sutton (Marla) of Billings, Missouri; two daughters, Carole Liggett (Doug) of Dallas, Texas, and Joan Jordan (Brian) of Houston, Texas; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many other family members and friends who will cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ash Flat, Arkansas with President Josh Larsen officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service on Tuesday at the church. Interment will follow the service at Shiloh Cemetery in Center, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Randy Joe Sutton, Scott Buchanan, Torre Sutton, Chris Liggett, Tommy Buchanan, Jerry Buchanan, Randy Sutton, and Jimmy Sutton.
