Published by Legacy on Oct. 23, 2025.
Zonia Ruth Ann LaFrance

July 18, 1966-September 21, 2025

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Zonia Ruth Ann LaFrance who passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025 at the age of 59 in Port Charlotte, Florida.

She was a beloved mother and grandmother. She will be remembered for her kindness, sassy attitude and love for her grandchildren.

Born in Providence, Rhode Island on July 18, 1966, Zonia lived for her children and grandchildren. She lived in Florida on and off for years and enjoyed the amusement parks, outside adventures and the sun. When enjoying time with family, Zonia always had the last word or the last side eye. Her favorite words were "all the way up." Zonia was one of a kind and as small as she was in stature, she was larger than life.

Zonia is survived by her three sons, Troy LaFrance, Darrell LaFrance, and Brandon LaFrance. Her sisters, Kina Williams, Shetana Wilson, Eulanda LaFrance Young and Evelyn LaFrance. Her brothers, Douglas LaFrance, Jr. and Andre Wilson, Jr., and her grandchildren Amillyona LaFrance, Brandon LaFrance, Jr., Giana LaFrance, Julian LaFrance, Stevie LaFrance, Anastasia LaFrance, Sa'myah LaFrance and Jadalyn Rodriguez. She also leaves her life partner for the last 25 years, Tim Hercamy.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Isabelle Flora LaFrance, her father Douglas Joseph LaFrance, Sr., and her brother Sidney Jones.

In accordance with Zonia's wishes, her body has been cremated. We invite all who knew and loved her to join us in celebrating of Zonia's life on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at 1pm at Art By Ariel, 249 Main Street, Pawtucket, RI, 02860.
