Zora Mae Tucker Altman, age 74, died Monday, July 15, 2024 at her home in Selma, NC. Born October 19, 1949 in Hartwell, GA to the late Henry Moe and Zora Charles (Rucker) Tucker, she was the widow of John Leonard Altman and was preceded in death by three brothers, James Tucker, William Tucker and Billy Tucker, her mother-in-law, Lina Mae "Queen Bee" Altman and three in-laws, Mary Williams, Arthur Altman, Jr. and Willie Altman. Zora was an active member of the Hickory Grove Disciples Church near Four Oaks. She retired from Quality Assurance with OPW Global in Clayton, NC.
Surviving are her sons, Cedric LaShawn Altman of Atlanta, GA, John Leonard Altman, Jr. and Dexter Lamont Altman and his wife Porche all of Selma; brothers, Eugene Tucker and wife Joyce, Elma Tucker and wife Julia and Charles Tucker and wife Debra all of Hartwell, GA; sisters, Gladys Tucker Brewer and husband Benjamin, Barbara Tucker and Zelma Tucker Stark all of Hartwell, GA; six grandchildren, Kadjah Johnson, Kimberly Altman, Ashanti Altman, Nityla Altman, Layla Altman and Kalaya Altman; four great-grandchildren, Bryson Smith, Brielle Sutton, Briya Sutton and Cayden Contrez; in-laws, Lina Stewart, Joyce Taylor, Lorenza Altman, Hilda Lofton, Linda Skipper, Sandra Hamilton, Kenneth Altman, Curtis Altman, Donald Altman, Cynthia Blake and Rosa Tucker.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Saturday, July 20, 2024 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Parrish Funeral Home Chapel 1351 South Pollock Street Selma, NC 27576
Funeral Service will be held Sunday, July 21, 2024 1:00 PM, Hickory Grove Disciples Church 5260 Devil's Racetrack Road Four Oaks, NC 27524 with the Evangelist Joyce Taylor, Pastor Donald Altman, Pastor Dannie Robinson and Pastor Hattie Lofton officiating.
We ask that you keep the Tucker and Altman family in your thoughts and prayers.
