Billie Kay Kirkland
1944 - 2021
Billie Kay Kirkland, 76, of Napa, California went home to be with her Lord on the morning of February 3, 2021. She passed away peacefully at her home holding hands with Larry Dean Kirkland, her husband of 62 years.
Born in The Dalles, Oregon on February 29, 1944, Billie Kay was always a proud Oregonian though she lived most of her life in Vallejo and Napa Valley. She met her husband as a young girl in Vallejo and they married on July 23rd, 1958 in Napa where they would live for the remainder of her life.
Billie Kay devoted her life to her faith and her family. She was a born caretaker and lived for those she loved from her three children, five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren to the many people she welcomed into her home and heart throughout her life.
She was an active member of First Christian Church for more than 30 years, spending countless hours decorating the church, teaching Sunday school and supporting God's work in her community and beyond.
She was predeceased by her son, Brent Dean Kirkland; granddaughter, Candace Davison Redman; and parents, Jane and Wallace Mather.
Billie Kay is survived by her husband, Larry Dean Kirkland; two daughters and sons-in-law, Christine Davison (Kevin) of Bend, Oregon and Debi Johnson (Robert) of Napa, California; four grandchildren, Jeanette King (Jud), Michael Kirkland Doyle (Rachael), Kevin Christopher Davison, and Stephanie Holliday (Chris) and ten great grandchildren. Also survived by her brother Rich Mather (Pauline) and niece Dawn Moriarty (Simon) of Coventry, UK. She also leaves behind many other family members and friends who will miss her greatly.
No funeral services will be held, but Billie Kay will be laid to rest at Skyview Memorial Lawn in Vallejo, California next to her dear son, Brent.
