Bonnie Lu White

1953 – 2021

Surrounded by family and an abundance of love in her own home, our precious Bonnie Lu White passed peacefully away on February 3, 2021. At the age of only 67, Bonnie endured an incredibly stoic, brave battle with cancer.

Bonnie Lu White was born in Walla Walla Washington on April 23, 1953 and spent the next 16 years growing up in the Northwest area. When Bonnie went to Columbia Academy in Meadowglade Washington, she was lured to a Saxophone player and she impressed him with her incredible piano playing skills. That shared interest in music, led to their marriage in 1972.

During Bonnie and Quentin's attendance at Pacific Union College in Angwin, California, they both majored in music, and eventually made Angwin their lifelong home.

Bonnie is well known for her contagious smile, friendly kindness, love for family and friends, her animals, summer family camping trips and riding her Harley. Working for Adventist Health for nearly 30 years in various support rolls over those years.

Bonnie's passions and talents included playing the piano, keyboard and clarinet. She has been the accompanist for numerous school choirs, musical groups and churches throughout the Napa Valley. Most well known for her many years with the Norman Skeels Chorale, St. Helena Men's Chorus, and later Harlen Miller Choir.

Bonnie is already greatly missed by her husband Quentin White, Daughter Stacey Bauer, Son Christopher White, his wife Cynthia White, Granddaughter Jenna Bauer, and multiple other family members and numerous great friends.

Later this spring a graveside service will be held at the St. Helena Cemetery.

Dear Quentin; My heart is filled with sadness, yet I can smile at the times we all shared during the years of performing with the Harlen Miller Chorale. Bonnie was a central figure in our joy of music. Whenever you joined the group with your Sax, her eyes would light up and she smiled more than usual. There were so many good times, not only with performing, but also with meals, good talks, and lots of laughter. Remember the good times through your hours of grief. Hugs and prayers for your healing, Rebecca
