Daniel Allen Krueger
August 14, 1964 - April 22, 2024
FAIRFIELD - Daniel Allen Krueger of Fairfield, CA, died peacefully with his family by his side on April 22, 2024, at age 59. He was a loving Husband, Son, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, and Friend.
He was born August 14, 1964, in Bismarck, ND, to Lester and Phyllis Krueger. The family moved to California in 1968. Dan grew up in the Napa Valley and graduated from Vintage High School in 1983. Following in his father's footsteps, he began a career at Syar Industries Inc., where he became an operating engineer and met his wife, Roni.
Dan and Roni married in 2008, and they began their life together in Fairfield, CA. They had recently retired and were looking forward to traveling and visiting family and friends.
An avid golfer, Dan won the 2014 Club Championship at Paradise Valley Golf Club. In addition to golfing, he loved cooking, fishing, working on projects, and being outdoors. Dan was quite the handyman and mechanic and could fix just about anything. With his larger-than-life personality, he was always the life of the party. You could hear his contagious laugh echo throughout the entire house once he got going. At Christmas, you could often find him dressed as Santa visiting the local assisted living facility or at a friend's home, entertaining the children. He enjoyed life and loved bringing joy to others.
Dan was an organ donor. Due to that generous decision, two people will be lucky enough to see the world once again.
He is survived by his loving wife, Roni; brothers: Michael and John; sisters: Deborah Pitts (Keith), Susan Krueger, and Cheryl Krueger (Frank Szela); and by his many adoring nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Phyllis Krueger; brothers: Paul, William, Patrick; and sister, Betsy Whitaker.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the charity of your choice. Dan's spirit will live on in the hearts of all of us.
