Dwight Shogren Obituary
Dwight was an alumni of Milo Adventist Academy, where his early education laid the groundwork for his future endeavors. He was a master of trades, known widely for his expertise as a carpenter, mechanic, electrician, plumber, and contractor. Dwight had the rare ability to fix anything that was broken and to build anything that needed construction, earning him respect and admiration in his community.
He was a faithful attendee of St. Helena Seventh Day Adventist Church, where he contributed to the community through his skills and fellowship.
Dwight is survived by his loving partner Ann, his son Taylor, daughters Pamela and Charis, brother Don, and sister Nancy. His life was also blessed with the presence of his late wife, Verna, and his sister Loree, who preceded him in death.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Dwight's memory. I just now learned of the passing of a remarkable man, Dwight Shogren. He was a blessed friend of mine through our attending the same church for some years.
He always credited Our Creator for all of his abilities which were many, and for his meticulous craftsmanship in everything that he undertook.
We were both part of a Gospel band at church which touched many lives, including our own.
Being around Dwight was always an uplifting experience.
When he moved away, it was a sad time. And now that he has passed, I find it difficult to realize that this has happened.
Sleep peacefully, my brother in Christ, until He returns to take you Home. You are always my friend.

What an unexpected inspiration Dwight turned out to be as an uncle, by marriage ... a profound influence to me and even a spiritual mentor in ways that crossed denominations and doctrines. How he managed that is remarkable. Only through God of course. I loved this dear friend. Be blessed forever Dwight and Verna.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Taylor, Pam, Charis and Ann (and all who grieve his loss).
