Frank Worthington
Oct. 5, 1938 - Jan. 31, 2024
MEDFORD, OR - Frank Worthington, 85, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024.
He was born on October 5, 1938, in Long Beach, CA, the son of Harriet Worthington. Frank spent his early years on a date ranch in Indio, CA, where he had fond memories of walking with his father in the date groves and learning how to handle a rifle. The family then moved to Long Beach where he continued to live until they moved to Napa when he was a senior in high school. He attended Napa Junior college before transferring to and later graduating from San Francisco State. Frank then went on to earn a law degree from Boalt Hall at University of California, Berkeley.
In 1965, Frank was married and began his law career as Napa Deputy District Attorney. He opened a private practice soon thereafter. He practiced law in Napa and was an active member of the legal community until his retirement in 2004.
After retirement, Frank began living his long-time dream of traveling the world, meeting interesting people and broadening his life experiences. He lived in Madrid, Spain and Argentina, learning Spanish and enjoying the company of fellow bullfighting aficionados. He also traveled to Equador, Peru, Prague, London, and Belgium. In 2015, he moved to Medford, OR, to be near his daughter, Ellen.
Frank was an avid reader, connoisseur of food, and a wonderful cook. He enjoyed bird hunting, fly fishing, skiing, and his hunting dogs. He also remained an active member of the Napa Valley Napa Elks Lodge #832 until his passing.
Frank is survived by his children: Janet and Ellen; two grandchildren; and his brothers: Mark and Jim.
Frank was a remarkable person and will be missed.

Frank, you were a giant, both in stature as well as spirit. It was an honor to know and litigate against you, sir. See you in Henry's.
