Georgina "Marilyn" Hyde

1931 - 2021

Marilyn was born on November 1, 1931 in Astoria, Oregon. She moved to St. Helena in 1935 and graduated from St. Helena High School in 1949.

She worked at the Yountville Veterans Home in the finance department for 42 years. She was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star Lodge for over 60 years, serving as a state officer in 1973.

Marilyn enjoyed traveling to many parts of the world and, especially enjoyed cruise travel. She also loved working in her garden and being outdoors.

She lived at the Silverado Orchards in St. Helena the last five plus years before going to St. Helena Home Care. She enjoyed the Silverado Orchards with their wonderful staff and activities they provided. Enough can not be said for the excellent care she received at the St. Helena Home Care of Juanita Gutierrez and Lupe Delgadillo and staff.

Marilyn is survived by her brother Walter Hyde and his wife Nancy, and nephew Walter Hyde III.

A graveside service will be held at the St. Helena Cemetery. Arrangements by Morrison Funeral Chapel.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made to Marilyn's favorite charity, Shriners Hospitals for Children of Northern California.
