Mr. Brown was just in my heart a few days ago when I thought about looking for him to share my own love of being a high school English teacher. He was my journalism teacher at Napa High and I, fondly, remember the supportive and positive presence he shared with all his students. He influenced so many who carry his memory.

I was saddened to see the passing of Harry Brown. His impact on the Napa Valley Educators Association helped change the way we as an organization do business. In the trainings I do on negotiations I quote Mr. Brown, "The value of a healthy relationship between the administration and employees means we can all focus wholeheartedly on the students." Our organization is grateful for his pioneering spirit in labor relations. My deepest condolences to his friends and family.

The absolute best teacher I ever had. Mr. Brown was my English teacher at Silverado, and then when I went to Napa High I made sure to sign up and be in one of his English classes again. I was not much of a reader before I was in his English classes, but he turned me on to reading. Daily he would read to us in class, and in so doing made the books come alive. I am so grateful I was taught by this wonderful man. My thoughts are with his loved ones.

Mr. Brown was my 8th grade English teacher at Silverado. Years later I recently saw him and shook his hand and still out of respect called him Mr. Brown. He remembered me with a warm greeting and we talked for a time. My sincere and heartfelt condolences to his family during this very difficult time. He was the best and I have reflected on him fondly. Rest in peace Mr. Brown, you will always be remembered!
