Hi, my name is Garrick ,
I worked many years ago with Jackie at Cosentino winery here in Napa Valley. I lost touch with her but I did see her from time to time while she was walking. I just found out about what happened to her and I´m posting this on April 22, 2025. My heart goes out to the family Jackie and I were together for over a year and she was a pure delight to be with. I know that she is with God now she was a wonderful human being.

Jackie was the prettiest girl at Capuchino High School. We took home-ec together and laughed and laughed while learning to cook and sew. She came to Reno and helped me cook a meal for 250 people, my daughter Jill's wedding. It was so much fun.

It was always a treat to see Jackie at the Calistoga pool. And walking to and from the Vine. She will be missed.

I met Jackie on the Vine bus years ago, and would chat a bit. Later years, I would see her walking frequently. I was shocked to find that she was the victim of the hit and run in St. Helena. Jackie was such an avid walker and seemed so healthy that I would have expected her to live to be 100. I'm so sorry this happened to her.

Even tho I never knew
Jackie's name, I saw her for over 30 years walking in St helena, a constant fixture in our daily lives. Always walking with determination.
I would wonder if she had a route or if she just let her legs take her where they wanted to go. She was regal and beautiful and will be missed by the residents of St Helena.
Peace to her and her family.

I first met Jackie in 2004, as a fellow VINE rider...quiet and dignified. Over the following years, I frequently saw her walking, always purposefully and recognizable even at a distance. If it is possible to describe someone who seemed always to be moving as a "fixture," then that is what Jackie was. Her loss is our loss.

All of us drivers at the Vine have a kind memory of Jackie. I had the pleasure of Jackies company on many, many trips on the route 10 driving up to St.Helena over the past 11 years. Jackie always had a friendly "Hello" and never seemed to have a bad day. A truly gracious lady and her company will be greatly missed.
