James (Jim) R. Londo

1935 - 2021

Went to be with the Lord on the morning of January 30th 2021. Born on April 29th 1935 in Duluth Minnesota to Lester and Ida Londo. Jim is survived by his loving wife Ellen of 64 years: his two children son Terry & Cheryl, daughter Patricia & Paul Kerr: Grandchildren Bryan & Kristen Barry, Katie & Tim Wells, Brad & Cinnamin Barry, Heather & Mike Rhodes, Lyndsey Londo and Lesley Londo: Great Grandchildren Carson, Fisher, Arlyn, Hudson & Elizabeth Barry, Abigail, Allison & Lilliana Wells. Jim was a loving Husband,Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather who will be greatly missed.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents.

Raised in Duluth MN. In 1955 Jim enlisted into the Air Force for 4 years. During this time Jim married Ellen and their two children were born. After discharging they went back to Minnesota. In 1959 the family moved to California. Jim started working at Mare Island Naval Shipyard in 1960 retiring after 30 years in 1990 as a Nuclear Inspector.

His hobbies included: golfing, camping/motor homing with family, square dancing, bowling, fishing and card night with friends. Enjoyed marshalling at the AT&T Golf Tournaments at Pebble Beach for 20 years.

Jim has been a parishioner of the St. Apollinaris parish since 1960.

The family would like to thank Stayman Estates and Continuum Hospice for providing loving care for the past year.

I'm so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I worked with Jim at Mare. He was a great guy to be around:smart, hard working, and good natured. Jim and family are in my prayers. I'm sure Jim is wrapped in the arms of love or our lord, Jesus Christ.

Ellen, I am so sorry to hear about Jim passing away! I always enjoyed seeing him at Sirs 149 as well as seeing both of you! You & your family will be in my thoughts & prayers!

Londo Family, Our prayers and thoughts are with you all at this time. Sorry to here about Pops. He was a gentle man. He was loved by many RV friends and family. We are here if you need to talk or just a shoulder Mom.
