Jane Peck Obituary

Surrounded by family, Jane Anne Peck born April 27, 1951, passed away at home on April 1, 2025, after her battle with cancer.

Jane was born in San Francisco, CA, the oldest of five children to Albert and Jeanne Pedley. She was raised in Martinez and Lafayette but spent most of her life working and raising her seven beautiful children in Napa, CA.

Jane graduated from Acalanes High School in Lafayette in 1969. After high school, she started raising her family. She worked for the Fire Department in Contra Costa County before moving her family to Napa. She worked for the Queen of the Valley Hospital for several years and ultimately in 1991, started her forever career at the Napa County Sheriff's Department as the Coroner's medical secretary, which she retired from in December 2014.

Jane was known as such a kindhearted, warm spirit with the most beautiful smile. She was the brightest light in everyone's lives. She was always such a positive person and found the good in every single person that had the pleasure of knowing her.

Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy, and it would be an understatement to say she sacrificed her entire life just to see them smile.

Jane is survived by her children Timothy, Daniel, Brian (Christina), Matthew (Elisse), Melissa and Jennifer (Cristian); her step-children Kristine, Marcus and Westley; her treasured grandchildren, Adriana, Caitlyn, Sophia, Brian Jr, Olivia, Kendyl, Cristian, Kyla, Lucia and Zoe. She is survived by her spouse, Dale Berger.

Jane is survived by her siblings Patrick Pedley, Daniel Pedley and Marianne McClintock.

Jane is preceded in death by her oldest son Jon Peck, her brother Mark Pedley and her parents Albert and Jeanne Pedley.

A celebration of life will be held on May 23, 2025, at Vino Godfather Winery, 1005 Walnut Ave. Vallejo, CA from 3pm-7pm.

All are welcome to gather and honor her beautiful soul. Jane Anne Peck

I was blessed enough to grow up next door to Jane and become friends with all of her children. Jane was always loving and kind towards with me and she always made you feel special and like you belonged to be happy. She was wise beyond her years but never made you feel less than. Jane is a huge reason I am where I am in life and always hold a special place in my heart. Jane was the epitome of family is everything and all her children follow her. I am saddened by my own personal selfishness but I know deep down Jane will always live within everyone that was blessed enough to be able to share the spark of life we all strive and look for an entire lives. Thank you Jane for always living by example and being an extreme blessing in my life.

Dear Jane, Her son Jon and my son Joe were in St Apollinaris school together so I saw Jane many times over the years. She was indeed a very warm, caring, always smiling, happy lady.
My sympathy to her family especially the boys (who were little then) and I would see them and talk to them while Jane was waiting for Jon after school.
