Kenneth E. Nagy

1952 - 2025

Kenneth E. Nagy, a former resident of St. Helena passed away November 6, 2025, at the VA Hospital in West Hollywood from an unexpected illness. Ken was born in the Philippines on January 10, 1952 to Nicholas and Jeanne (Ghiorso) Nagy. He was raised in St. Helena Ca and graduated from St. Helena High School in 1970. Friends will remember his excelling in wrestling and his involvement in baseball and football. Mostly he will be remembered for his vibrant personality, his zest for living and his drive to live his life to the fullest.

Ken served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War from 1975-1981when he was honorably discharged having achieved the rank of Qm2.

Kenny was a Gardner for 20 years and loved being outdoors. Kenny was quite the character and worked various unconventional side jobs-taxi driver, ice cream truck operator while also pursuing interest in improv comedy and casual poker playing.

He is survived by his brothers Nick Nagy lll, David Nagy, and sisters, Nancy Kendall, Patty Kronick, and Liz Falk. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss him and his smile greatly. He was predeceased by both parents Nicholas H. Nagy ll and Jeanne M. Nagy.

Kenny had a big heart for his family and friends. His passion was uplifting causes that were meaningful to him. He was a man who stood for what he believed in and would travel across the country in protest, offering his support to others; Shut It Down Aliso Canyon and No Dakota Access #standwithstandingrock, to name a few.

He valued the unreserved pursuit and expression of truth, as a liberating force, and also believed that individuals and society should operate with integrity, free from moral or ethical decay. He was fully invested in his life and was a warrior until his last breath.

A full Military Honors Burial will be held December 8, 2025, at the San Joaquin National Cemetery in Santa Nella, CA, at 2pm.
