Patrick James Creegan
1924 - 2021
Patrick J. Creegan, age 96. Devout Irish Catholic, Democrat, family man-led an adventurous life.
Born in San Francisco to Charles James, Margaret Bird Creegan, he lived in southern California with his aunt, Frances Robertson. WW II Navy vet.
As a Civil, Structural, Geotechnical, and Dam engineer he worked nationally and internationally including Nicaragua, Dubai, India. Doctorate in Engineering, Berkeley, age 67. A life-long learner, he inspired education.
A loving, generous husband, father, grandfather, loyal friend, and seaman at heart, a surfer, fisherman, natural athlete, golfer, avid Giants and 49ers fan, woodworker.
Preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Sunie Birdsall Creegan, son, Jerry Creegan, first wife, Clare Kuklinski Creegan, he will always be remembered by his children: Daniel Creegan (Debbie), Katie Creegan, Clare Creegan Chamorro (Jaime), Maury Creegan (Jadi), Renee Miller (Jack), his stepchildren Patrick O'Neill (Lori), Maura O'Neill (Vaho), Megan O'Neill (Cary), and Michaela Eikenbary (Doug), grandchildren, great grandchildren.
Rosary 7/31/21, 11:00; mass 11:30, lunch at St. Apollinaris Catholic Church, 3700 Lassen St., Napa, Ca. Interned later at a military cemetery, Alameda, CA.
