Tony A. Valdivia
1963 - 2021
Tony A. Valdivia, 57, of Napa, CA passed away peacefully after a long battle with diabetes. Tony grew up and went all through school in Oakland, CA but moved to Napa in 2010.
Tony worked for many years in the hospitality business for multiple Napa Valley hotels and he also did security work. His diabetes eventually left him unable to work but that did not stop him from volunteering for a variety of Napa community organizations. Tony was a gentle giant who was always giving to friends, family, and his community. He loved country music, gadgets, and Western movies.
Tony is survived by his parents John and Stella Valdivia, brother John, sister Cindy, nephew Nicolas (Dolores), nieces Alexandria Katmeros (Billy), Devany Valdivia, his two precious great-nieces that meant the world to him Aliya Bueno and Zoe Katmeros, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
There will be a Rosary and Funeral Mass at St. Apollinaris Catholic Church, 3700 Lassen St, Napa at 10:30am on Saturday, November 13th. A reception will follow in the church hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Tony's memory can be made to the American Diabetes Association, www.diabetes.org.
