Not having seen Dan for several years, I do remember him as a caring and giving person. He gave off his time for the betterment of the NC hockey club. Personally, I will not forget him.

Dear Irene and family:

I am still stunned and very saddened by the passing of my dear friend, Danny. Even though we haven’t seen Danny in several years, he was always in our thoughts. I cannot recall one time when Tom Ehmann and I were together that we did not somehow bring up Danny and hope he was doing well.

I have many great memories of growing up with Danny; we were together through eight years of high school and college. Danny was very intelligent and driven, but also a warm and compassionate friend.

I know how hard these moments are for you and your children, but Danny will be always looking down at all of you wishing he could cook another meal for you and just provide some good old fatherly advice to his kids.

He was a great colleague, a great father, and a great man. He will always be remembered fondly by all of his North Side buddies.

I will pray that your family can find peace and reconciliation in the days and months to come.

Irene and family,

We were so sad to hear of Danny's passing. Although it has been many, many years since we have seen you both, we were quickly reminded of the countless Rocky Mountain Oyster games (they were so bad!), the Wendella rides, and the summer of '75 when were were all married! Danny was funny and charming; we know that you will miss him greatly.

Danny was the best friend and neighbor you could ever want. Always there with a helping hand or a laugh. We have been friends with Danny and Irene for over 22 years and have been part of a group of friends that started a once a month Game Night Group over 20 years ago. The years of laughs and watching our families grow will stay with us forever. May we all get together
again in heaven and have as much fun and laughs as we did on
earth.
We will miss you Danny,
Love always and forever,
Dennis and Beth Riordan

"Certain personalities remain with you always. Dan had one of those gravitational personalities. I still remember meeting Dan at a Redhawks meeting for the first time. He made an impression then, and continued to do so through the years as I got to know him better. He was very proud of his children. Great sense of humor. He was a man to be admired."

Irene,my deepest sympathy goes to you and your family. I am so sorry for your loss. Although, I didn't know Danny that well, when I did see him, we had some good conversation. Danny was very "real". He was " down to earth" and a true person. He will be missed by many.
Love, Steve

Irene and family,

I can't rememeber exactly when you introduced me to your Danny, but I definitely remember thinking that he was kind, funny, easy to talk to, and that you two were perfect for each other. The few times we did see each other through the years, it was always a pleasure, and I'd always walk away thinking how you two were still perfect for each other.

I am so very sorry for your loss. May you know that you are all in my prayers. May God bless you.

Danny was always “my favorite cousin”. Although I didn’t get to see Danny very often, when I did, I enjoyed spending time with him. He was ALWAYS warm, inviting, FUN, and had his own way of making me smile. I loved Danny. He was a great man who I respected very much. I know what a great loss this is to his family and everyone who loved him. He will be truly missed and won’t be forgotten.

Sorry we never got to have that family reunion we always talked about, Danny……guess we will just have to wait until we are all in heaven. Until then, may God hold you in the palm of his hand. Love, Jeanne

Irene, my name is Chris Pieszko. I worked with Dan at Peat Marwick and was the second year staffer for him on the National Standard audit in 1978. I am so sorry to hear that he passed away. My prayers go out to you and your family.

I met Dan when his son was playing hockey for Naperville Central and Dan was part of the Redhawks Board. I have many fond memories of working with Dan and of the many good things he did for the kids and families at Redhawk Hockey. He always tried to make things better. From my family to yours, our sincerest condolences.

We last saw Danny in September when he and Irene (with whom Mary has been friends since they were kids) were visiting the Southwest to celebrate their 35th anniversary. We had a great visit, and Danny was his usual pleasant, jovial self. This is how we will always remember him. He was a warm and wonderful person, and his loss is a very painful one.

I met Dan in 1978 when he hired me at Ace Hardware corp. While he was the type of a manager who accepted nothing but the perfection from his staff, I can honestly say that I can attribute my professional success to his teaching and his guidance in the early stages of my professional development. I will be forever grateful to Dan for everything I have learned from him. This untimely loss will be grieved by many including my husband and me. Bella and Alex Prager
