Mary L. "Dodie" Frederickson, nee Ory, age 72 passed away peacefully, Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Edward Hospital of Naperville, surrounded by her family. She was born December 16, 1949 in Aurora, IL to her loving late parents, Ralph and Lucile Ory. Cherished wife of the late Orin E. "Mose" Frederickson, wedded for 35 years. Beloved mom of Shane (Aimee) Frederickson of Naperville and Drew Frederickson of Clinton, TN. Adored grandma of Dylan and Chloe Frederickson. Dearest sister of Sylvia (the late Arthur) Shaff, Ronald Ory, Lester (Marge) Ory, Vincent (Sylvia) Ory, Roger Ory, Arlene (John) Gaglione, Christine Ory, Elaine (David) Trout, Kevin (Annette) Ory, Marcia (Jeffrey) Newkirk, and the late Bernard Ory. Aunt of many nieces and nephews and sister-in-law to a large Frederickson family. Dodie was a graduate of Naperville Community High School, class of 1968. After high school, she started working for Northern Illinois Gas Company, retiring after 30 years of dedicated service. She also enjoyed working for Culvers and cashier at Naperville Central in her retirement years. Mary was an avid collector of Snowmen and making Aunt Dodie brownies. In lieu of flowers, memorials to donor's choice in her name. Visitation: Sunday, October 30th 2:00-6:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, IL 60540. Funeral Service: Monday, October 31st 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Family and friends will meet at 12:30 PM at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 West Hoff Rd., Elwood, IL 60421 for committal interment services.
