Noel DeLessio Obituary

Noel X. DeLessio passed away on November 21, 2021, at age 82 in his hometown of Naperville, Illinois. He was born to the late Carmine Thomas and Grace DeLessio (Pellicano) in New York, NY. Noel graduated from Jamaica High School in New York and received his bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn. He married Juyne Felcetto in 1961. He served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army leading a research effort in plasma physics and as an Assistant Professor in electrical engineering before starting a long and successful engineering career. He worked for almost 30 years for AT&T Bell Laboratories in research, exploratory development, and product development in defense, computer, and telecommunications systems. Noel was a board member of Donka, Inc. and an active member of the Naperville and Joliet Model A clubs. A lifelong learner and adventurer, Noel was a sailor, private pilot, motorcyclist, RV enthusiast, classic car maven, and traveler alongside his wife of 60 years, Juyne. He was also an AT&T Bell Laboratories Visiting Professor at North Carolina A&T State University and a loaned executive to Chicago State University. Noel was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Joel DeLessio. He is survived by his wife, Juyne Felcetto DeLessio, and children Stephen (Linda) and Jennifer (Bruce Courtade) as well as four grandchildren, Jessica, Nick, Julianne, and Marie. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Donka, Inc., The Michael J. Fox Parkinson's Foundation, or the Lion's Club. Memorial Visitation: Thursday, December 23rd 10:00-12:00 Noon at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, IL 60540. Jenny - I am so sorry to read this! I enjoyed seeing your dad when he would come in for dental appointments. When I told him that you and I went to school together, he was beaming! He loved you so much. I hope all of the special memories of your dad keep him near to you always.
