Barbara Doherty Obituary
Naples, FL
Barbara Carney Doherty, 80, from Naples, Florida passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children on August 9, 2016 at Avow Hospice. Formally from Natick, MA and Bangor, ME, she was the beloved wife of Robert E. Doherty and loving mother of Deborah Dowd, Christopher Dowd, and his fiancé Nicole Beck, Catherine O'Connell and her husband Michael, Rosamond (Robin) Dowd and her husband David Steffan, and Kevin Dowd and his wife Patricia; also grandmother to their eight children. Loving stepmother to Robert's six children and their families. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and Godchildren.
A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 am on Friday August 12, 2016 at St. William Catholic Church, 601 Seagate Drive, Naples, FL 34103. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barbara's name to the Avow Hospice House, 1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples, FL 34105.
